Before enrolling our son in Oxford Learning, my wife and I had thought for a long time. After hearing positive feedback from other parents who had their children in this program, we thought, let's try it. We put our then 10-year-old son ( who had been diagnosed with a Learning Difficulty earlier that year) in to see if we would see the same results. Needless to say, I wish I would have made that decision long ago. Not only did our son improve greatly, but his self-confidence also grew. He went from a very early reading level to almost at grade level in a year. I cannot promote this company enough. The staff is amazing, friendly, and welcoming. He loves going each week and is proud of his work now. I would recommend Oxford Learning to anyone.

Bowmanville Oxford Learning deserves 6 stars, not 5! We have been nothing but beyond impressed by the calibre and professionalism of the team here in Bowmanville. All of the teachers are genuinely passionate about helping each and every kid that comes through their doors want to learn. Our kiddo started Grade 1 with really poor baseline reading, writing and math skills (thanks to all the classroom disruptions of the pandemic). Now in Grade 2, our son is wanting to read, asks us math questions and has confidence in learning we had never seen before despite our best efforts. In less than a year of being with Oxford Learning, he's progressed quite rapidly and has blossomed in so many ways. Now at bedtime, instead of trying to sneak to play with toys, in bed, he asks us to keep the hall light on so he can read (which we can hear him reading to the cat) and sometimes does his writing homework in bed, too - all because he WANTS to! That interest and motivation are priceless, and all thanks to the incredible team at Bowmanville Oxford Learning I HIGHLY recommend this service!

I am a proud mom of a child with ASD. They were struggling at school and unable to follow the rest of the class. At the end of Grade 1, they could not read or write, causing frustration and impacting the whole family. After discussing their case with the teacher and searching for options, we considered Oxford Learning Bowmanville the best option. Our experience with Oxford Learning Bowmanville has been exceptional. From the very beginning my concerns for my daughter were taken seriously and a plan was implemented immediately. Initially, I sent an email late one Saturday afternoon looking for some information and had a response that evening. Immediately I felt relief because I knew I had found exactly what I was looking for. Within a week, my daughter had her assessment and was signed up and in class starting her program. The ratio of one teacher to three students is great because my daughter was getting more one-on-one time than she would receive at school. The center is very welcoming and the staff is so friendly and positive. Due to the pandemic, Oxford Learning transitioned to a virtual learning platform and it has been excellent. I love that my daughter has been able to stay on track with her Oxford Learning during this time and from the comfort and safety of home. I really appreciate that every six weeks there is a progress meeting to discuss how your child is doing and it’s great to see all the progress that has been made. Oxford Learning has really made an effort to keep things fun for the kids during the pandemic. There were spirit days and recently we were able to celebrate their six-year anniversary virtually. The kids participated in a scavenger hunt and played Pictionary and we even had a Happy Birthday sing-along. It was nice to come together and celebrate. We are grateful to have the Oxford Learning family in our lives. I highly recommend Oxford Learning to any family looking for additional support or looking to move forward in their studies. There are so many learning opportunities and so much support. Thank you, Oxford Learning for such a positive learning experience.

My daughter joined Oxford Learning after a tough year in math. There were so many bits that were missing from her public school education. With the help of Erin, Stewart, and Bob she was challenged and helped to catch up on the little parts she needed to build up her confidence in math once again! When my son Mateo started at Oxford Learning last year he was experiencing trouble reading in both English and French. He was in Grade 1 in the French Immersion program. We decided to seek tutoring. Mateo has made huge strides in his academic competencies and is now able to read in both English and French! Perhaps the most notable change in Mateo has been his confidence and his willingness to try new tasks, even if he is not correct. We recommend Oxford Learning to any parent who is feeling the frustration and guilt of not being able to teach your child the schoolwork.
