Joining Oxford Learning as a high school teacher in 2004 allowed me to tap into the passion I had always wanted to fulfill; to sincerely be a source of energy for students that want to reach their full potential. The heartfelt gratitude of my students and enjoyment of seeing them succeed has made me a lifelong educator. As a student I always knew that potential is only met when the right tools are provided. At Oxford Learning I am able to help each of our students gain the knowledge and confidence to thrive academically. Through the completion of my Bachelors in Commerce Management from the Ted Rogers School of Business at Ryerson University, I now have the ability to lead our team and help our families see their children grow.

Growing up, I was never the perfect student who got all A’s and studied every night. Fortunately, I came across amazing teachers who went above and beyond the requirements of their jobs to make sure that I made it through each test and each assignment. It was because of these teachers that I became motivated to change my attitude towards learning. The imprint left by these educators is what motivated me to become an Education Coordinator at Oxford Learning. Working with our students closely and meeting with parents to celebrate their children’s success is what inspires me to make a difference everyday. As an educator, I strongly believe that the first step any teacher must take is to show students that we are here to help. With an Honours B.A. majoring in English from York University, my primary goal is to show students the importance of literature and the power of language. With these tools our children develop the confidence, motivation and passion towards learning that is a life long resource.
