Tom has been a Centre Director at Oxford Learning for 17 years! Prior to Oxford Learning, Tom earned his Bachelor of Arts at University of Toronto and spent 18 years in the business world. His background in business and experience as an instructor, manager and consultant with IBM Education helped pave the way for his next career. Tom’s love for kids, combined with his passion for business and education made Oxford Learning a natural choice! Tom’s caring approach has allowed him to guide and inspire our teachers to nurture each student’s passion for learning and to motivate them to develop an active mind. His compassionate and understanding nature allows him to appreciate and support each of our family’s unique situation and needs. Tom loves meeting new parents and students and helping them get started on a new path to success at school.

Sue came on board at Oxford Learning in February 2010. After earning her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education at Queen’s University, Sue travelled across Canada, and taught abroad in England and Peru. Sue is constantly exploring new ways to facilitate learning that is fun for everyone! She works hard to ask the meaningful questions that arouse a sense of wonder in all students. Sue strives to teach students transferrable skills that allow students to direct their learning. Her ability to connect with each student, and celebrate their successes allows them to truly develop confidence in their capabilities.

Erin teamed up with Oxford Learning in September 2012, shortly after earning her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education from Brock University’s Concurrent Program. Erin’s background and expertise in early childhood education allows her to apply her knowledge and skills to the teaching of emergent readers. She is devoted to providing preschool and kindergarten aged students the skills necessary for lifelong learning. Erin’s enthusiasm is evident in everything she does; her commitment and care for her students, her desire to continually nurture and challenge them academically, and her fearless readiness to be engaging and entertaining!
